《太阳照常升起》是部大陆不多见的片子，华丽、傲气凌人、自信、霸气，坦荡荡的气势，就像姜文的形象一样。姜文的电影带有明显的属于自己的烙印，我觉得他的电影是大陆少见的有气质的电影。不过这并不代表我喜欢《太阳照常升起》，在我看来这片子良莠不齐，有些地方过了。
先说结构，也就是要说故事了。肯定要剧透了，不过要是不说剧情，那就没法说下去了。故事从第四段开始，两个女人骑着骆驼在岔路口走上各自的路，周韵的丈夫因为别的女人被枪毙，她怀着房祖名决定去丈夫的老家；与此同时，姜文举行婚礼，那场带有建国常见的初期乐观情绪的婚礼上，一个帐篷燃烧着挂在了周韵所乘坐的火车车厢上，导致周韵受到惊吓产下房祖名，除了陈冲之外，房祖名、周韵、姜文、姜文媳妇、黄秋生全部都在命运的这个节点交汇。

当然这部电影不是这么简单的，还有另一部分。
四个片段，分别在故事之外存在着大量的隐喻，指向建国以来的历史。所出现的醒目的道具、事件等，都在上述故事之外还暗含着一个重要的使命，完成对历史的表现。这是一个很牛的想法，但是姜文将其表达的太晦涩了，以至于这种隐喻变成了艰难的揣摩。这是我讨厌的，我第一次看着电影的时候就对此厌恶，如果不是RS，我不会在几年后再看一遍的，当时打算再也不看了。我不反对用隐喻什么的来模糊地表达一些东西，但是不要搞得过分晦涩，你说了个事情，总要让别人猜到你的意思吧，就像《2046》或者蔡明亮这几年拍的电影，你自己都不见得要知道表达什么那还有什么意思，全依靠读者天马行空的想象的话，那还要你的电影做什么？《太阳照常升起》中有一些东西还能猜个大概，有一些则是全看个人发挥。
1、绣花鞋是什么意思？.从故事的角度来说，那可能是周韵或者房祖名他爹心中一直描绘的故乡，他们在新疆思乡时的寄托，或者是他爹泡周韵时的手段，对周韵来说那双鞋是不可取代的爱情的记忆，她这辈子就这么一件事，不然她也不会在得知男人出了那事之后干脆的疯了。从隐喻的角度来说，这双鞋是指什么，那种赶英超美，或者人民公社幸福生活的那种谎言？

《太阳照常升起》在结构上就有《大象》的影子，姜文做了改动，更花哨一点，使结构与讲故事手法更符合，他采用了倒叙。但是他没有像《大象》那么有力，《大象》的简洁有一种凝视的力量。我觉得姜文之所以要表达的这么晦涩，未必出于本意，可能有顾忌审查的原因，拍的隐晦一些就好过一点，毕竟这片子的投资不是那么简单的。
