大陆明星云集的《让子弹飞》有力的证明了年届五旬的姜文依然是大陆最有才华的导演，在与《赵氏孤儿》《非诚勿扰2》《大笑江湖》等国产贺岁档大片的比拼中貌似大胜，姜文再一次身证了鸡窝飞出金凤凰的古谚。
这是一部在现如今难得一见的枪战大片，没有电脑特效，没有替身，甚至没什么枪战场面，配点枪声音效，然后一众反派翻身卧倒示死搞定：杨子荣一抬手，啪啪啪啪，灯灭了！武戏场面拍的走马观花，更多的要靠观众自己发挥——精彩留在了镜头外。所期待的周润发葛优姜文三巨头飙戏的文戏场面，变成了比嗓门大赛，三人表情夸张，用话剧般的腔调扯着脖子朗诵对白。这样一部人物众多的电影，姜文展现了非凡的导演功力，硬是把握住了节奏，扎大靠扮武生提刀上马却做出了一台老生戏。真是惊喜。
影片故事简单，行伍出身落草为寇的土匪，跑江湖的官混子，本地豪绅，在民国年间演绎了一场尔虞我诈巧取豪夺的争斗。一个常见的故事骨架，再佐以艳情、暴力、粗糙型幽默，就是一部中国式的西部片，或者都市商战片，或者……反正这是一个人见人爱百试不爽的烂俗故事核，80年代《章回小说》的热心读者会有重温旧梦的欣喜。世间也不过只有两种人——男和女，人间的故事也就无非那几个母本，非要生掰硬凑拧巴出新颖来反而惹人嫌。既然这样，也没必要难为姜文在意在扎钱的商业片上煞费苦心，反正说故事这个事情嘛，本来就是八仙过海，一样的食材不一样的味道。这样的故事要有一个引子才能生动起来，比如为了挖宝啊，为了保护革命军领袖啊，为了报仇啊，为了爱情啊，最常见就是本片所用的，为财为寻仇。可是要是说为财呢，土匪劫了豪绅这么多烟土早就发财了，对钱也没多饥渴；要说为寻仇呢，且不说那孩子死得莫名其妙，土匪倒是没显得多么恨豪绅，倒是有点英雄相惜的意思。
故事既然缺乏紧迫的内在推动力，进展就难免有点方向不明的失控，土匪对钱的斤斤计较，让那孩子的自戕突兀脱离。这种鬼扯的故事要想编的圆满虽然不是难事，但是确实没必要，就是图个乐儿，谁会在意细节呢。文戏不足那就武戏补——可是姜导演的武戏实在难以恭维，连草草了事都称不上，整个儿舞台剧表现手法，音效为主点到为止，弄几匹马跑来跑去充威风，武状元踢店小二那场，真是难为他怎么好意思拍的……看过京剧里面的武戏场面吗，就那个意思，比划比划就行。
既然文武都不成，就看明星吧！电影本来就是看演员的，所谓的商业片更是明星当打了。周润发、葛优、姜文、刘嘉玲……要是15年前这个阵容该是多么让人兴奋！岂有不看之理！光是看他们几个凑在一起就足以让影迷心如潮涌，可惜他们四个加起来快200岁了。几个年近半百的老人，纵然卖力，怎奈脸上的褶子不争气，越是声嘶力竭挤眉弄眼，越显辛酸。三个人对手戏的那场，智斗架势摆出来了，但是不知道在斗什么，好像就是为了斗嘴。有人相信黄四郎会真的杀掉武状元和胡安吗——连这点紧张空气都没营造出来。
也许姜文真的有本事可以拍好一部商业片，至少眼前这部不是。英文、浦东、莫扎特……这些让人无法入戏的妙笔，导演用起来乐此不疲，他的幽默就是这些？更何况他的英文飚的远不如小沈阳好笑。他确实是个中国导演，做文章一定要有中心思想，要忧国忧民，要民族命运，要……要把自己对历史对社会的见解，逮着这个机会都塞进去！没把城管、强拆演绎进去真是观众的不幸，不然可以看到一部更为深刻，具有更为严肃思考的内涵丰富的批判现实主义力作。
姜文也许像库斯图里卡，但是当初夸他的那个人说得很清楚，中国最有才华的导演。我想这个中国没有包括台湾和香港。这样一部片子有如此赞誉，姜文有没有才华且不论，中国观众显然是世界上最有才华的观众。
姜文在中学的时候有个好朋友，英若城的公子英达，受此影响喜欢上表演，80年考进中央戏剧学院。82年，比姜文大一岁的的周星驰拽着对表演并不感兴趣的好友梁朝伟同去报考无线11期艺员训练班，梁朝伟被录取，周星驰则进了训练班的夜间部。86年23岁的姜文与谢晋、刘晓庆携手拍了《芙蓉镇》，次年和张艺谋、巩俐拍了《红高粱》。这时候的周星驰在《射雕英雄传》里尽心跑龙套，“我伸掌挡一下再死吧”，被呵斥：“快点拍戏，不要话那么多！”88年周星驰去舞厅打发时间，得到李修贤赏识，进而出演处女做《霹雳先锋》，并获得金马奖最佳配角、最佳新人双料提名，最终斩获最佳配角，同时，姜文凭借《红高粱》扬名戛纳。姜文从此在艺术的道路上大踏步的前进，周星驰90年与刘镇伟合作了小成本跟风片《赌圣》之后，如推土机般横扫票房。95年周星驰也和刘镇伟拍了《大话西游》，这部后来被冠以XX主义的无心插柳的艺术片当时票房惨淡；同时姜文执导的《阳光灿烂的日子》创造了票房纪录5000万，该片在威尼斯获奖时，姜文被颁奖者称为中国最有才华的导演（原话找不到了，应该是电影节主席的赞誉）。5、6年后周星驰才拿起导桶，《少林足球》获得香港金像奖14个提名并斩获7项，颁奖嘉宾、香港政府高官张敏仪在将奖座颁给周星驰时说：“我很高兴颁这个奖给你，因为你令很多香港人在不开心的时候都可以笑。”姜文继续在艺术电影的道路上自信满满的前进，2005年《鬼子来了》遭禁，《太阳照常升起》几成滑铁卢；周星驰在2005年拍出了《功夫》，姜文在2010年拍了商业片《让子弹飞》。
这是两个年龄相差一岁，都是演员出身的导演。周星驰也许未必能拍出《阳光灿烂的日子》那样自传体的片子，现在姜文好像也拍不出来那样的片子了；不过姜文如果想拍出《功夫》那样的片子，差半辈子吧，他也就糊弄糊弄有才华的中国观众。
题外话说一句，不知道姜文是不是看过《米勒的十字路口》……没看过更好。
