没什么比爱情更能感动人的了，默默付出的无望的爱情，凄美的爱情，在最苦的环境里摇曳着的爱情……
这电影和《朗读者》很像，不是指剧情像，而是整个路子很像。都是用纷乱复杂的年代作为背景来裹挟着一个凄美的爱情故事，《朗读者》是忘年恋，这部《蜘蛛女之吻》是男同性恋。《朗读者》的爱情故事是点缀，对时代的探索才是真实内容；《蜘蛛女之吻》的时代背景比较模糊，是用来制造氛围的，爱情才是主题。拧巴的程度上二者倒是不相上下，《蜘蛛女之恋》让一个五大三粗的老爷们穿着花绸子睡衣在牢房里扭来扭去，南美人的浪漫尺度还真是胸怀宽广。《蜘蛛女之恋》大胆的采用了中国传统曲艺节目形式，牢房里她的独角戏，他不过是个道具；她说的那个故事是个双簧，她在说，那个女人在演。整部电影是她一个人的秀场，她处于舞台的中间，聚光灯的焦点，其他人出没于光圈的周围，半明半暗面目模糊，只有那位矮个子黑人警察给人留下深刻的印象，因为他扯着嗓门一直在嘶吼。
《蜘蛛女之恋》有意思的地方就是她在自己所编造的那个故事里面，她自己所担当的角色。她在现实中的同性恋关系中所出的角色是女性的一方，但是在故事里面她化身为冷酷的男纳粹军官，而那个歌女实际上在做着她在牢房中正在做的事情。故事里的歌女和军官都是她自己，歌女是她所憧憬的外貌，而军官则是她所向往的性格。同时这个故事也承载着电影对南美革命的一点戏谑，爱情和革命事业虽然看起来不相干，但经常是互不相容的。这个双簧让电影有了一点魔幻色彩，可惜的是在她出狱之后，双簧就不了了之了，没能贯穿始终，不然可以更有意思。我对结局也不满意，这不是一个爱情的结局，而是突然抽离了，出现了一个小人物在命运面前可悲的宿命，然后又生生的把革命者突然拽出来做浪漫状，简直莫名其妙。为什么不能让他俩有个，至少是暂时逃离苦海的结局？电影虽然情节曲折，不算拖沓，但是整体铺垫做的有点多，显得有点小卖弄。而且整部片子的色彩出奇的灰暗，褴褛，营造着沉闷、压抑。
蜘蛛的含义比较明显，应该是取自雌蜘蛛会在交配后吃掉雄蜘蛛的现象。她幻想自己是一只雌蜘蛛，而现实却给了她一个雄蜘蛛的命运。有意思的是，结果她的也是个女人。可见爱情就像梦一样，都是反的。
爱情往往结束于时代之手，难得自主命运，所以才显得珍贵，才可信，才是永恒的主题。
